- Greymouth Group companies together hold 100% interests in seven petroleum mining permits (with an eight mining permit held as to 98%) and 100% interests in seven exploration permits. All but one of the permits are located in the Taranaki Basin, with the remaining permit (an exploration permit) held over an area in the Great South Basin.
- Greymouth operates the Moturoa, Kaimiro/Ngatoro/Goldie, Windsor, Surrey, Radnor, Turangi and Kowhai oil, gas and condensate fields located on the onshore Taranaki peninsula.
- Greymouth's operations base is the former Petroleum Corporation of New Zealand (Petrocorp) facility and store situated in Bell Block, near New Plymouth.
- Greymouth maintains a comprehensive inventory of oil field spares, casing, tubulars and drilling mud at the Bell Block store and associated pipeyard.

- Through its Bonus Drilling and Tiger Drilling affiliates, Greymouth provides land rig drilling services. Through its GMP Environmental affiliate, Greymouth provides industrial waste clean-up and disposal, water blasting, steam cleaning, heavy lifting and transportation services.
- In 2005, Greymouth (through its Greymouth Power affiliate) made foundation investments in flexible thermal power generating facilities and gas delivery assets to enable the supply of combined heat and power solutions to industrial NZ gas and energy users.
- Through its Greymouth Gas affiliate, Greymouth supplies gas to thermal power stations, the petrochemical industry, and other large industrial and commercial customers.
